Satu Wellness is an Indonesian non-profit organization dedicated to teaching Transcendental Meditation (TM). Recently, their mission pivoted to focus specifically on high school students, aiming to provide them with mental tools to manage stress, improve focus, and foster well-being. The objective of this project was to redesign their website—starting with the critical “Vision & Mission” (Visi Misi) experience—to effectively communicate this refined focus to a dual audience: the youth who will participate in the programs, and the schools, partners, and donors who facilitate them.

Challenges & Goals

Designing for a wellness-focused non-profit requires striking a delicate balance. The primary challenges included:

01. Dual-Audience Messaging

The website needed to feel approachable, engaging, and relevant to Gen Z high school students, while simultaneously projecting authority, trustworthiness, and measurable impact to educators and institutional donors.

02. Demystifying TM

Transcendental Meditation can sometimes feel abstract. The design needed to ground the practice in tangible, real-world benefits for students, making the organization's mission immediately clear.

03. Emotional Resonance

The "Visi Misi" page is the heart of a non-profit's website. The challenge was to move beyond dry corporate text and craft a visually compelling narrative that builds empathy and inspires action.

Design Strategy & Solutions

Visual Identity: Calm meets Clarity

To reflect the core benefits of meditation—calmness and mental clarity—I implemented a clean, modern aesthetic utilizing ample whitespace and a soothing, nature-inspired color palette. This minimalist approach reduces cognitive overload, allowing the core message of youth empowerment to stand out without distraction.

Narrative-Driven Information Architecture

Rather than presenting the Vision and Mission as a static wall of text, I structured the page as a flowing narrative.

High-Impact Typography

I utilized bold, modern typography for key mission statements, ensuring that even users who skim the page instantly grasp the organization's core objective of bringing TM to Indonesian high schools.

Strategic Content Blocking

Information is broken down into digestible, card-based sections or distinct horizontal bands. This modern UI pattern guides the user smoothly from the overarching vision down to the specific, actionable methodologies used in the schools.

Building Trust Through Imagery and Layout

To humanize the organization, the layout incorporates strategic placements for high-quality, relatable imagery of students and community engagement. By pairing clean visual structuring with authentic photography, the design naturally builds a bridge of trust between the organization and its prospective partners.

The Outcome

The redesigned web experience elevates Satu Wellness from a traditional NGO to a modern, forward-thinking wellness initiative. By prioritizing clean UX, readable typography, and a balanced visual identity, the new design successfully communicates their vital mission to empower the next generation of Indonesians, making it easier to attract both school partnerships and vital donor support.
